Camper Training

Volunteer Training for Camper certification from 2022 to present is now good for 5 years, reducing the frequency needed to re-certify. This frees your time for more time in the outdoors with your girls! 

Non-GSCC Training

Trained by a council that is not Girl Scouts of Citrus (GSCC) Council?  Outdoor certifications from other councils will also be reviewed for acceptance. 

Facilitate Activities

More Facilitation Training is opening up! Council's is sharing First Aid, Lifeguard and other classes so Adult Volunteers and be the facilitators of common outdoor activities!

Crowded for Troop Accounts

Council has begun phasing in a transition to use Crowded as the preferred financial partner for new Troop accounts and encouraging existing troops to make the transistion ahead of a full phase in by Fall 2027. Co-signers needn't meet in person to create an account - just work with GSCC. 

More Events!

Council increased the number of Council sponsored/ coordinated Events for troops and individual Girl Scouts to participate in.

County Patch Program

Girl Scouts are invited to explore six counties that make up Girl Scouts of Citrus. After visiting a listed location, girls can purchase a fun patch from the GSCC shoip to wear on the back of their vest/ sash.

Sisterhood Studio Patch Series

New for 2026-27, the series is designed to provide creative activities, connection and a relaxing space to decompress. Sessions planned for Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. Participants can earn an exclusive patch. Register under events on GSCC's website.

Gifts for Girls Update

Each Girl Scout is encouraged to contribute $8.50 to the Gifts for Girls annual campaign. Gifts for Girls benefits those in need of experiencing Girl Scouts! This goal amounts reflects an increase from the prior year. Textile goods continue to be a means to contribute toward the goal and reflected in the new patch (above)!

Council is adding New workshops for girls working to earn their Gold or Silver Awards!

Training is back and more streamlined!  Login to MyGS (it may need to be on a Troop Leader or Caregiver account), and then click the Events calendar to search for  for the next sign-up!
